I walked next to the bathroom it smelt strongly of smoke.

Well when I walked in the whole house smell like burning paper and cigarette smoke.

I took my dog out for a walk and I think he thought I was going to be gone for a while because when I came back only minutes later our door was locked which it never is and it took him forever to open the door.
