Basically, I think people need to ask themselves whether what the kid did was that bad, or if the fact that they at mad makes it seem worse in the moment.

I don't believe one should let anger be a determining factor when it comes to punishment, as it can lead one to give a harsher punishment that the child deserves for what they actually did.
